Botezul umorului românesc relativ apropiat memoriei contemporane a fost dat de Urmuz. Şi ca dovadă că a fost un umorist de geniu, a intuit tragismul acestei meserii atât de exact, încât s-a sinucis. Deşi, dacă se-ascute bine, privirea exersată vede chiar şi mai departe. Taina umoristică s-a pogorât inclusiv în cercurile Junimii. “Bancul primează” striga cineva atunci peste adunările înflăcărate, prezidate uneori de însuşi meister Emin. Cine ştie autorul acestor vorbe, top of mind, fără ocheane în Wikipedia, are 6000 de euro de la neica Don Chilote. Pentru că o cunoaştere a evoluţiei animalului numit râs se răsplăteşte, mai ales la Lejereanu.
Tradus peste decade, umorul românesc nu s-a ştirbit. A fost, doar, dus la un alt nivel. Prin urmare, s-au succedat reprezentanţi de geniu, cum ar fi chiar întâiul umorist al ţării, tătucul cel iubit. Alţii, mai şubrezi în ale hazului, nu prevedeau cavalcada de hăhăieli pe care urmau s-o aduca cei 50 de ani de becuri stinse. Constantin Tănase, de exemplu, abia dacă intuia de unde bate vântul din ce în ce mai iernatic. Cât despre contemporanii Epocii Vesel-Aurite, ca Toma Caragiu şi Puiu Călinescu, au fost atât de surprinşi de relaxarea oficială încât au fost nevoiţi să apeleze la toate resursele lor morale, alimentare şi pecuniare. Şi, de-aici, sursa de umor.
Ajungând în contemporan, am asistat la faze tranzitorii, imaginate de Academia Caţavencu. Iar ştafeta s-a propagat, normal. Spre ce? Păi a urmat filonul paralel numit Mugur Mihăescu, care nu s-a oprit până n-a devenit un bulgare, din păcate de zăpadă. Aşa se face că, astazi, asistăm la desfăşurarea de forţe a două dintre cele mai puternice expresii ale umorului contemporan. Contemporary smart, cum se defineşte una dintre ele. Atât de contemporary smart că te ţii cu mâinile de burtă, într-un acces ulceros-sardonic. Căci nu există şarjă, sau săgeată textuală izvorâtă din mintea jucăuşă a Marelui Eseist, care să nu-şi atingă ţinta. Care ţintă? Păi, aţi priceput, niciuna.
Dar pomenisem de două asemenea surse de umor contemporane. Care să fie cealalta? E simplu – botezul ei neumoristic s-a decis ca fiind times.ro. Adevărată mină de aur a mişto-ului balcanic, vizitat în medie de 2 useri, acest Yellow Pages al bancului neaoş şi al spiritului şşşăgalnic, uimeşte încă de la deschidere prin headline-ul altminteri atât de inspirat: Not as seen on TV. Bravo, băieţi. Nici macar Bernbach n-ar fi pus atat de bine punctul pe Y. Nu că ne-am aştepta să ştiţi voi cine-a fost Bernbach. Nici nu trebuie. Important e că, estetic, cotlonul vostru virtual loveşte la înălţimea headline-ului. Cât despre conţinut, sunt atât de multe de spus că, vrând-nevrând, întreaga noastră redacţie se pregăteşte de o nouă vizionare a celebrului film Restul e tăcere.
